We estimate that Thor might be an F5 Savannah but most sadly we have determined that Thor is FIV-positive. FIV is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, related to the human’s HIV. Differently from the human disease, FIV does not require the medications and usually FIV-positive cats live a fairly normal life. They can be more susceptible to infections so care must be taken to treat any issues promptly. Sources say that there is little risk to other kitty residents as it will only be spread by blood contact or blood-saliva contact.
Thor is very loving to humans but has not been introduced to the foster home’s cat. He has now been neutered and is not spraying.
